I really did enjoy this twisty and fun thriller, where secrets and lies were in abundance.
The narrator was brilliant! I don’t think I have listened to Gail Shalan before but she knocked it out of the park with this book. So many characters and at no time was I confused about whose point of view we were listening to. The different voices were spot on with each character amazing.
Faith was an interesting character, and my feelings changed about her so many times, this was the first thriller I have read with a weather presenter as the main character too. I loved how the author shone alight in the down side of fame, it is not all it is cracked up to be.
This book was so easy to binge listen to, very cleverly written.

This is book 7 in the series featuring Mark Turpin, and my new favourite. I have enjoyed listening to most of this series, and the narrator, Ciaran Saward does a brilliant job bringing the reader into this clever and complex police procedural series.
Rachel Amphlett certainly turned up the gore factor in this one! Wow! There are some stomach churning descriptions of the murder victims, even for me who reads and loves a good dark and gritty crime book. Even the hardened detectives in the story were struggling with what they were seeing. Hearing it is was enough for me.
A case that seems pretty straightforward to begin with turns in ways that could never imagine. I really got sucked into the story and listened to this in a day. It is dark, it is tense and it is so good! The team are up against it to stop this ruthless madman before he strikes again, and it hits way to close to home.

Gardner Camden is now leading PAR - the puzzles and recognition team at the FBI. They have been incredibly successful in solving cases but this one will test them all. Whilst on the trail of a group of weapons smugglers, they find themselves hunting a serial killer . Their confidential informant has been murdered, and it by the gun guys! It is a dangerous case, one that will require everything the team has to put the puzzle pieces together.
The audiobook is narrated by the fabulous Will Damron, on of my favourite narrators. He is amazing at telling the story and keeping all the characters interesting and separated. I will listen to anything he reads.
Camden is such a great character, whip smart but struggles with emotions and personal relationships. His bond with his daughter is so strong and I love reading the chapters where they interact.
This is a fast paced adrenaline filled story that would make a great movie.i already can’t wait for the next book.

This was such a thrill ride, with characters that I had very strong feelings about one way or another. I don’t want to give anything away, but when you read it you will see what I mean.
I loved the 1976 setting. Tom and Alice are trying to fix their marriage after a tragedy struck them. They bought an RV and are travelling across Canada on their way to the summer Olympic Games. They meet a young couple who seem to need help and they offer them a lift. They will wish they had never met them
This is so good!! it is dark and intense and never predictable. You really get to know the 4 main characters well and feel for what they are going through. The narrators were fantastic at giving all of the characters a unique voice and bringing this story alive in my ears.

I really enjoyed the dual timelines, learning about Luke getting his life together today, and hearing about his really tough childhood. When the 2 worlds collide once again and bring those he has grown close to into danger, Luke really struggles to go back to that place. I loved the Melbourne setting, always enjoy reading about a location that I know well.

Frankie is on the case of a ,issuing woman who has recently arrived in the country but gone missing without a trace.
As always Frankie is tough and doesn’t take no for an answer. I lived her lodgings for this case, and her unusual housemates. These were the light hearted scenes and really made me laugh, although one scene really did freak me out!!
This is a very dark and emotional story, a real eye opener. I learnt alot, and the authors notes were really interesting. It was fascinating and so sad. Hilary Huber is a narrator that I have enjoyed in the past and she was fabulous with this book too.
A slower paced story but one that really is worth reading.

David Baldacci you absolute genius. I do not know how this man consistently writes these characters that are so real and full of life that just get into my head and won’t leave. I might be a little in love with Walter Nash after devouring Nash Falls. I love a new series and a new hero to cheer on.
The audiobook was so fantastically done, with a large cast of fabulous voice actors who really made these characters come to life. It was an incredible experience to listen to this book, and get a sneak peak at book 2 at the end there after that shocking finale
Walter Nash is living a comfortable life, great job, happy family, wealthy, life is good. It is all about to change. First, his estranged father dies, bringing with it a flood of emotions and feelings about their relationship, and regrets for lost time. Soon afterward the funeral, he is approached by the FBI who want him to work with them to bring down his employer who is in their sights for financial crimes. This is just the beginning of the end of his happiness and life as he knows it.
I don’t want to give a spoilers but Nash’s world crumbles so fast he gets whiplash. This is a story of man who reinvents himself for revenge and justice. He does things that he never thought he would ever do, hangs out with people his former self would never be seen dead with. His life is in free fall and he will do whatever it takes.
This is a long book and there is a slower pace than usual with this authors books. We spend a lot of time getting to know Walter before his life implodes, which is important to do, with what happens to him. It is still an action packed thriller with plenty of twists, but I appreciate that we got that chance to see him before his world turns upside down.
The ending was so abrupt and such a cliffhanger that I couldn’t help but scream at my car stereo!! What the? It is going to be a very long wait for book 2 and after hearing those first few chapters there was another cliffhanger ending there.!! I am desperate to find out what happens next.
This book is just brilliant, once again David Baldacci has outdone himself. I can’t wait to get to know Nash more sooner rather than later please David.

I couldn’t stop listening to, I was hooked and needed to know what was going to happen next, much like Thea getting drip fed the chapters.
This book also made me so hungry!! The recipes, the food, I was craving pasta and all the food.
What’s not to love about a celebrity chef whose life has been surrounded by gossip and rumours ever since her husband went missing decades ago. Now she is writing a tell all memoir and will only tell it to editor Thea Woods, who herself is not without drama.
Addictive, wild and crazy. A must read.

She is one of my favourite authors, her books are always so fun and interesting, never a dull moment. I started this as soon as it landed on my phone and I couldn’t get enough of it. I was completely hooked and caught up in Tessa’s story.
This avid reader loves book about authors and books.. what is not to love right. Tessa has hit the big time with her debut novel and is headed across the US on a book tour, leaving her husband and 2 kids at home. It soon becomes apparent that Tessa has something in her past that she wants to forget and keeps her private life very secret. But strange things start happening.. is it a crazed fan or is her past coming back to haunt her?
This was intense! i was scared for Tessa’s safety and her mental health! it is quite dark at times, as we learn about her childhood and past.i loved his the author drew it out so we didn’t know all the details until the very end.
The narrator was a new on for me and she did an excellent job of telling the story and making me feel the tension. Highly recommend the audiobook.

I was so happy to receive a copy of the audiobook from Brilliance Publishing on NetGalley to listen to and I flew through it. After a slowish start, it certainly ramped up the pace and twists. The story is from the point of view of 2 very different women in Believe Me Now . First of all we have Natalie Campbell is suffering from PTSD and has blackouts. She works from home and loves her husband. But can she trust him? She isn't so sure anymore, especially when the body of a woman is found in the bush behind their house. Detective Helen Stratton leads the case, and she is fighting her own demons.
Just when you think you have this all worked, something happens that makes you question it all. Really well done and addictive to listen to, The narrators were both fantastic and brought both women to life. Highly recommended....more

What a wild ride! So many dodgy characters who all had a reason to harm our main character Jessie. I really did not like most of them, especially her husband John. There was so much lying, so many mind games and the gaslighting was insane. I did like Jessie, although she did make some really bad decisions. I felt for her having no memory after the accident, it would be awful to not remember anything or anyone.
The audiobook was well done, I hadn’t heard this narrator before but she brought the story to life.

There was a it of a paranormal element with the creepy run down villa in Italy. I didn’t know what to believe, was it haunted or was Julia losing her mind.. or a bit of both.
Julia witnesses her husbands murder on their way home from dinner one night and her life is turned upside down. She becomes a hermit and never leaves the apartment. That is until about 6 months later she learns that she has inherited a large amount of money and a villa in Italy. She has no idea who this woman that has bequeathed her home to her but is interested to find out. Being adopted, could it be her biological family? she sets of to find out and runs into all kinds of dangers.
I really enjoyed the Italian setting, the food, the language, the people. It is somewhere that I have always wanted to visit. Julia had an unhealthy obsession with horoscopes and that did get a little too much at times. But overall a great mystery that is easy to binge. The narrator was fabulous, her Italian accent was beautiful.

Larkin House is a beautiful old house in the country, and the new home for Emily and Freddie. Emily is recovering from an accident that left her in a coma for months, and this is the perfect place to rest and get better. From the very first day, Emily feels uncomfortable. The house is creepy, with things that go bump in the night. Freddie doesn’t believe her, tells her it is the aftermath of her accident and the sepsis. But she can feel it, something isn’t right with this house and she wants out. On top of that , Freddie is behaving strangely and she starts to worry about her marriage.
This book is just nuts!! Freddie was so awful to Emily and so selfish. You just never know what might happen or how it is going to end. So so good!!
The narration was amazing. I mean Jamie Glover from The Crown and Helen Baxendale from Friends!! They were both superb, did an amazing job bringing this creepy and intense story to life. Highly recommend the audiobook if you are a fan.

He has been one of my favourite crime writers for a long time and his historical fiction book last year, A Calamity of Souls, was my favourite book of the year. So when ai saw that he had written a story set in WWII London I just had to read it.
This was such a moving story, so many times I had tears in my eyes while listening to this tremendous cast of narrators. They really did bring Strangers in Time to life, along with the authors brilliant writing. I feel like I was walking the streets of London with these characters. Any story set during wartime is going to be emotional, and this one really does tug at the heartstrings.
It is a story of 3 people that are brought together by the war. 3 people from different backgrounds and places in society, that may not have met under normal conditions. Charlie lives with his gran in the East End, and they battle for every penny and morsel of food that they can get their hands on. Molly has just returned to her home in affluent Chelsea after being sent to the country for years to escape the war. And Ignatius is a widowed bookseller who has plenty of dark secrets of his own. The 3 form a friendship that gets stronger and stronger the more that is thrown at them.
This is a story of war, of family, of friendship, betrayal, survival and love. It is an eye opening look at the real people that the war affected. It shows the real courage of those who did what they had to do to survive and protect the people that they loved.
