The illustrations are eye catching and amazing. Loved the reminder that we are made in God’s image. The story also tells of Adam and Eve, the crucified Christ and His resurrection. This book and illustrations will stick with me for a very long time. Even at 67, I still need these reminders. Highly recommend.

“God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them, male female he created them.” Gen 1:27
The Glorious Image of God written by Rousseaux Brasseur, is a beautifully illustrated picture book that helps explain an important truth from the Bible. Getting children to understand how they are created in Gods image can be a tough concept for littles to grasp. In this story, a teacher gives the students a memory verse, and she goes on to explain it by using an example of a mirror. It’s full of bright and colorful illustrations to keep the Childs attention. It also uses modern day scenes to help it be relatable and teaches how Jesus can reveal this truth. I thought the author and illustrator did an excellent job sharing this lesson. Perfect for young ones bedtime, church classroom setting, read aloud or Sunday school. Would recommend.
The Glorious Image of God teaches kids that everyone is unique and made in God’s image. We are all part of His creation and each one of us is special to Him.
The book shares God’s plan for people, starting with creation and going all the way to Jesus’s death and resurrection. The illustrations help even young children (pre-readers) understand and see the story as it happens. At the end, the book shows boys and girls from different backgrounds and with different abilities, reminding every child that even though they may look and act differently than other kids, they are all wonderfully made and loved by God.
I love how this encourages children to let their light shine, because we reflect God to the world. It reminds them that they are something truly wonderful!

Rousseaux Brasseur has written one of my favorite kids Christmas books and I was so excited to read his new picture book with my kids this week.
The book is written in rhyme and masterfully tells the story of God creating mankind in His image at creation - the only part of His creation made in His image! And how each one of us still reflects that image…but how broken that reflection became when sin entered the world. But that is not the end of the story because a Perfect Man did come - God’s own Son. “On that day when He rose again, the world began anew, So that God’s image in Jesus Christ would shine through me and you!”
What a perfect one for your little ones this Christmas!
So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them, male and female he created them. Genesis 1:27
What a beautiful message of the gospel. And to see that it starts with the scripture of Genesis 1:27. How we glorify God when we see our worth in the image of God. In 40 pages the message of the gospel and the scriptures of the Old and the New testament, reflect our need for Jesus and the good news of the gospel. It will make a wonderful gift for Christian parents and those young and old that are searching for answers. Highly recommend.
A special thank you to Zonderkidz and Netgalley for the ARC and the opportunity to post an honest review.
The Glorious Image of God is a beautifully crafted children's picture book by Rousseaux Brasseur and illustrated by Arief Putra. This new release from Zonderkids is a deeply spiritual lesson for children. I love how the main focus is on the image of God and how every person carries His image. What a great reminder for all of us in today's world!
I loved how this book used BIG Bible truths to teach little hearts about God's plan for redemption through His perfect image--Jesus! This story takes you from Eden to the empty tomb, speaking of the fall of mankind, the evil of sin, and the perfect purity of our Savior. I was impressed by how they laid out the plan of salvation with God's image being the central theme so that even young minds can take it all in their hearts.
I enjoyed sharing this book with my boys, and will be recommending it to all my mom friends at church. It's a great addition to any child's library as it brings the love of God and salvation of Christ to their shelf.
I was given a copy of this book by the publisher with no expectations of a positive review. All opinions are my own.
Oh my, what an EXCELLENT storybook for young believers! The message of how God made mankind in His image was perfectly carried out! We are His MASTERPIECES. My sons were completely drawn into this story, at times leaning in closer as to not miss a word! There were moments of tension when Adam and Eve fell into sin, when mankind chose to worship idols, or when Jesus died on the cross. And then, there were moment of glory, when Jesus rose from the grave to become our Savior. The lyrical and rhyming prose flowed seamlessly, keeping my kids wholly engaged! It was simple yet rhythmic! The illustrations were delightfully bright and beautiful! I love how the illustrator used a flowing blue mist/waves to symbolize the Holy Spirit throughout story. Very impressed by this book! We plan to add a physical copy to our home library and to give a more copies as gifts!

The Glorious Image of God written by Rousseaux Brasseur is a beautifully illustrated story to help explain to children that they are created in the image of God and how important it is to love yourself and the creation that God has made. In this story, a teacher gives the students a memory verse, and she goes on to explain it by using an example of a mirror. It’s full of bright and colorful illustrations to keep the Childs attention. I loved the connection that the teacher makes from the story of Adam and Eve, connecting it to the story of Jesus, and then back to the students and how they should be happy with what they see in the mirror because God loves us so much that he made us in His image.
The Glorious Image of God is a charming book for all of the littles in your life! It has captivating illustrations. poetic text to stir their imaginations, and a message taken straight from God's Word. Author Rousseaux Brasseur shares the Creation story, the fall of mankind, and the need for God's Son to be sacrificed, but more importantly, he reminds us that Christ's resurrection allowed God's image to shine through all of us.
This book is a perfect book for family bedtime reading. but it's also a wonderful resource for Sunday school or youth groups! Needing a special gift for the children in your life? This is a wonderful choice!
I received a review copy from the publisher via FrontGate Media. There was no obligation for a positive review.
I loved ‘The Good News of Easter’ by @rousseauxbrasseur so I was excited when I saw he’d released this book! 🙌
Following his trade mark poetic and lyrical writing style, He explains that we are made in the image of God which gives us worth. He starts at creation, moves to the fall that distorts God’s image in us, and then points to Jesus as the one who restores God’s image in us through his death & resurrection. He also explains that Jesus himself is the perfect image of God.
I love the fact this is theology made simple and memorable but also real life application all in one. Children (& us) are reminded our worth is rooted in the fact we’re made in God’s image.
‘It’s true! In fact, the Bible says way back at the start God made us in his likeness as Wonderful works of art!
This nonfiction picture book teaches kids about the concept of being "made in the image of God," and it tells the story of redemptive history, helping kids understand the big picture story of the Bible. The text is accessible for kids and explains things in terms they can understand, and the illustrations are beautiful. I think that this book would have been better if it hadn't tried to follow a rhyme scheme, because the rhymes are sometimes forced and don't flow well, but this is a great book for teaching kids more about Jesus.
I received a temporary digital copy from NetGalley, and am voluntarily leaving an honest review.

My kiddo and I read this book together. It had a beautiful message that we are all created in his image. It was such a sweet story. My son enjoyed reading this book with me!
This book teaches children how all creation--and especially mankind--is made in God's image. It also recaps the stories of creation AND salvation (Jesus' death and resurrection) through thoughtful storytelling and beautiful illustrations.
I would recommend it for families with children ages 4 to 8 years.
